To The Sea was written for and premiered by the Southwestern Oklahoma State University 2026 Band Camp Staff Flute Choir. This piece was inspired by a childhood story I red about a baby sea turtle wanting to find their way “To The Sea” after hatching. Having that type of focus during moments of grit helps keep me moving towards my goals and the music for this piece is inspired by that forward motion.
